## Single phase circuit calculation

Power factor calculation:

PF = |cos ฯ| = 1000 ร P(kW) / (V(V) ร I(A))

Apparent power calculation:

|S(kVA)| = V(V) ร I(A) / 1000

Reactive power calculation:

Q(kVAR) = โ(|S(kVA)|2 - P(kW)2)

Power factor correction capacitor's capacitance calculation:

Scorrected (kVA) = P(kW) / PFcorrected

Qcorrected (kVAR) = โ(Scorrected (kVA)2 - P(kW)2)

Qc (kVAR) = Q(kVAR) - Qcorrected (kVAR)
